I absolutely loved the first 50% of the book. The descriptions and setting were beautiful, then the inevitable scheming for and of men happened. And what they did to hatsumomo in the end was well below them, especially in times of war. Now the last 10% to tell me how things will end up.

I really love the book! I just open the book and it draws me in immediately. I'm there, I see all the lovely fabrics, I feel the pain of the poor girls. It's breathtaking.
