A cliffhanger at the end of a Mare chapter, which was very intense and action packed, then a DAMN EVANGELINE CHAPTER. *exhales*

WHY IS MARE SKIN SUDDENLY BROWN? I’m so confused. I love diversity but the first books described her skin as white or tan and from book promotions her skin is white. Idk. But I still hate Evangeline and her family.

I hit another Evangeline chapter when I dong care for her at all. Mare’s last few chapters are a bit lighter and makes me feel happy for her.

Idk why but the way Mare describes her skin color is throwing me off. In the first two books, she said white. Now and a little while in the 2nd book, she says brown. She describes her skin as brown however how is that while she was staying in the castle. She‘ve had been clean & lighten up. Now, when she escapes, she says that her skin is white. She is probably tan. Not a big deal but it throws me off imagining her.

Chapter sixteen is my favorite out of probably the whole series so far. I can’t stop laughing and smiling. The drama

Cameron’s chapters are so hard to get through because the sections are all crammed together. It’s sandwiches between Mare’s chapters. Also, Cameron’s narrative and somewhat voice is similar to Mare’s a bit too much.

Love Mare and Maven scenes. It’s taking me forever to get through this story though 🙃

Okay, I like this story’s beginning more than it’s predecesor.
1. I personally do not understand why Cameron’s POV was needed. I’d rather Cal, Kilorn, Farley, or even the Colonel.
2. But Cameron’s narration is different and fresh in a way.
3. Maven makes this story more interesting even though he’s a manipulative, sadistic piece of crap.
4. Still hate Evangeline and her house.
5. I want to hug Farley.
