I had a hard time following it at first but I understand everything now. I'm curious why it's name after Fanshawe when he's just a minor character.

I'm not enjoying it quite as much as Scarlet Letter but it's not too bad. Was kind of slow until we learned about a plot to trap Ellen into marriage.
