The protagonist, Katniss, is a hardcore, strong girl who has seen many people die and suffer. How the dialogue shows this is when Katniss says “I always channel my emotions into my work. That way, I don't hurt anyone but myself.” This shows that she is only selfless and is working for everyone else's sake.

Suspense is when an author leaves you hanging on a chair, eagerly waiting for what is going to happen next. An example of suspense in Catching Fire is if Katniss will end up winning the Second Hunger Games or not. This makes you keep thinking what decisions she will make next.

I believe one of my favorite part of the books was when Gale starts standing up to the capitol and starts gathering people up to rebel against the capitol. Why this is, is because i like the rebellion type genre and it gets fun to read at this point.

Foreshadowing is words or phrases that give clues on to what is going to happen in the future of the book. How the author uses foreshadowing is when Katniss asks ""So, it's starting again', she asks. 'Like before?' " This foreshadows that there will be another rebellion against the Capitol.

The Protagonist is Katniss Everdeen. The Antagonist is The Capitol. How these Characters affect the plot is Katniss is against the Capitol with all her heart but she is not quite sure if starting a rebellion would be a good idea. The Capitol is very strict and gruesome in the way they try to stop any type of uprising, so they affect the plot by slowing Katniss down and affected all of her decisions and thoughts.

The author is using action verbs like "Somehow i ended -spearheading- this whole rebellion". Also the author used great sensory details like "As i walk across the bridge i notice a heavenly hue to the layers of ice and snow accumulating on rooftops and tree limbs, of the city". I think these sentences add to the story because with the action verbs it makes you more interested in what the speaker is (ran out of room)

So Far this book has been a great continue of the last one and I'm starting to see the plot unfold!
