this book is difficult to read, i go like 30 pages a day instead of my usual 100, shocking, but in my humble opinion it is worth the struggle. it's disgusting, immoral, absolutely unbearable and detailed and yet i'm loving every second of it. w t f

this book needs a break lmao, and i need a break from this book. i do like it, like i said you just have to get used to the style and the tone, but it's still a lot and i'll pick up something else

that is so pretentious i'm yelling. i genuinely can't take the narrator seriously, and i think that's the intention. i think he looks at himself with morbid humour and it just takes time to adjust to the writing style and pacing, and once you do it everything gets better.
