I usually root for the childhood friend and the dark haired partner, but the fact that Orimura can't even really remember his past with her besides that they "may have been" friendly after a while of going to Kendo... Kind of makes me think they shouldn't end up together just based on their childhood connection. Still very early. He has a way with sayings ("can't squirt the milk back up the Udder").

Still effectively in the "introduction" phase of this series. We've got Orimura Ichika (male) female classmates Houki and Cecilia. Outside of the teachers, Chifuyu and Yamada Maya, haven't learned too many other names. We've got the Chinese transfer student, a girl Ichika knew from his past (much to the chagrin of his childhood friend Houki). The IS battle between Cecilia was fun, but I don't understand how he lost.

This book definitely feels like a product of a different time.
"If there were two things girls loved most, it was gossip and bargain sales".
Well, Ichika is kind of old school with some of his expressions anyways.
Not many characters to know so far besides Houki, Yamada Maya, Chifuyu, and that British gal Cecilia. We meet an upperclassmen, but I don't know that she dropped her name.

Yamada Maya, the homeroom teacher, trying to explain the function of the IS as a sentient support system using real life support systems as comparables (bras and boyfriends) to a class of all gals... And one guy. Don't envy her, lol.
