"For behold, this life is the time for men to prepare to meet God; yea, behold the day of this life is the day for men to perform their labors." Alma 34:32

Lots of wars as well as miracles. The funny thing about miracles, to some they may just seem to be luck or coincidence. To the faithful, they are seen as Divine intervention or blessing.

"Therefore God gave unto them commandments, after having made known unto them the plan of redemption, that they should not do evil, the penalty thereof being a second death, which was an everlasting death as to things pertaining unto righteousness; for on such the plan of redemption could have no power, for the works of justice could not be destroyed, according to the supreme goodness of God."
Alma 12:32

"And now if ye are not the sheep of the good shepherd, of what fold are ye? Behold, I saw unto you, that the devil is your shepherd, and ye are of his fold; and now, who can deny this? Behold, I say unto you, whosoever denieth this is a liar and a child of the devil.
