Wow. Good book.
I like his discussion of something called the "intentional stance" where we treat others as rational agents with specific beliefs and desires and can "converse" with these agents in a sense by projecting forward how they might respond to our beliefs. In this way we populate our world with friends, loved ones, as well as these conversations with and artifacts of our relationships with such agents.

But this conversation can go haywire at times if we continue conversations with departed ones (those who've passed, say). Kinda sounds like religion!
