An interesting analysis of the philosophy of the USSR. Whilst this isn't the best analysis of Soviet philosophy, it is worth reading to see Marcuse's critique during the 1950's, before he became the shining star of the New Left. I would only really recommend this to folk who are interested Marcuse, or the reception of the USSR by the American left. Marcuse's info is also from the OSS, forerunner to the CIA.
