If I was to ask the main character, Jonas, some questions these would be them. The first question would be how does it feel to be different than everyone else? The second would be how does it feel to live in a society that is so strict, that it makes you recite a speech even if you are late to school. Lastly I would ask what assignemt would you have preferred to get?

One of the defining moment for a character is when Asher is late. This is because it shows that Asher is often in trouble. Also it helps to set up the world around him, showing how strict the society is.
