Another lovely Stanley Lau cover.
I'm pro Poison Ivy's new costume, on the whole: sort of organically secreted body-paint that changes with the seasons. Cool stuff. I just hate the New 52 obsession with turtlenecks! I don't like it on Ivy, Superman, Starfire, Black Canary, Wonder Woman, Supergirl or anyone else who didn't already wear one.

The art is disappointing. Not since Nightwing: Brothers in Blood have I seen such a gross disparity between cover and interior art. I'm not a fan of Jeus Saiz's flat characters and vacant backgrounds, but Travel Foreman seems to be his sloppier clone. I feel for the colorist, who had to dump digital textures over vast swathes of emptiness.

The one saving grace to Black Canary's nonsense new outfit is it only lasted until this book was cancelled. I mean, if you're going to dress her in blue and green, at a certain point you've got to stop calling her Black Canary. It's like making Green Arrow orange. Also, they gave her throwback bustier-look to Starling. So why not have them match?
