I can understand why people do not like the hard science in this book, but so far, I’m loving it. I enjoy how Egan slowly reveals bits of the nature of the world, the people, and the culture, and of course, how each of those aspects affects the others. I really enjoyed Incandescence, and this is similar, but so far, even more alien to me than Incandescence.
