Cort was forced to jump from tree to tree just to get past Rusty the wild hog who was very angry. He also had to get past alligators who were just laying by the bank looking for food that was floating down the river. He go past and swam across to go look for help for Liza and Francie. But with the hurricane, it made it hard for him to know where he was.

Cort and Liza have found Francie on the boat with Cort's dog. But they're still in a hurricane, on the river floating at high speeds. It's very dangerous and they may not survive. That's why Cort and Liza are working their hardest to keep the boat under control and stable so that they can remain afloat on the river.

Liza's little sister Francie has gone missing in the hurricane and they have to find her. After chasing her for a while they saw that she was on Cort's houseboat and was floating down the river with Cort's dog. Francie is very young and by herself on a boat and she needs to be found or her chances of living are slim.

There is a big hurricane headed toward Cort and his dad and they have to prepare the boat. They don't have to say in the boat though because Cort's friend Liza said they could stay there. The east side of the hurricane is supposed to hit them and Cort's dad says that's the worst side to be on.

Tim took 2 clients out on the river looking for alligators to hunt . It was dark and all they had was one spotlight searching in the depths of the bayou. They found one that Tim had been watching grow for 15 years and it was huge. It wasn't going to be an easy catch. They had to catch it and bring it into the boat before they could legally shoot it and that wasn't something you wanted to bring in the boat.
