End of the 2nd book, Dune Messiah. Surprisingly I like it, it still contains things I like from the first book. The gap between chapters, the strategies and how fights happen in this book, I feel like it still has the same soul. And I’m glad of what Alia said at the end of this book. I’m glad that Paul is a fool saint, the selfish Muad’Dib.

When a mentat/BG person designs a throne room, one might start the long march toward the throne as a human dignity, but end the march as a gnat.

Hayt is like a Trojan horse, who can talk and think and discuss with Paul, who is like Troy that has received Hayt as gift, about how exactly he would destroy Paul. 😅

Haha I like how Harah cut Jessica before the Reverend Mother could have a chance to cover up her disliking Chani, the daughter in law.

The Freemen were supreme in that quality the ancients called “spannungsbogen” — which is the self-imposed delay between desire for a thing and the act of reaching out to grasp that thing.

It occurred to her that mercy was the ability to stop, if only for a moment. There was no mercy where there could be no stopping.

Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past me I will turn to see fear’s path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
