I think that this quote could apply to most of us because I think what Fabiola is trying to say is that she feels like no one's paying attention to her or even taking time to talk to her about how school was that day and I think that everyone should have someone to talk to sometimes because being alone is the worst.

No one in the house cooks. The fridge is packed with food but no one ever cooks. Everyone is always off doing their own thing. Fabiola is in a house with family but she still feels alone. You know how when you go to someones house and they go to their rooms and you don't know whta to do because you don't want to be rude, well thats how Fabiola feels.

Fabiola has never seen snow before so when it was snowing that morning. It is very hot and humid in Haiti and it doesn't snow there but it is cold in Detroit so it snows there often. Fabiola compares Haiti with Detroit saying that Detroit is dull but Haiti is very colorful and bright. You can really tell that Fabiola misses Haiti.

This caught Pri, Donna, and Chantal's attention because they knew someone that was killed and it didn't even make the news. They were mad that the white girl made the news but the other person who was murdered made the news.
