I feel like I am learning a lot of interesting bits of trivia here but the general trend seems to be this : marriages only get you so far and if your kids are lame, your kingdom or duchy are gonna have a bad time. If you tolerate a Jewish population, your kingdom or duchy are gonna have a bad time. If you piss off the church, or do not appeal to the church enough, your kingdom or duchy is gonna have a bad time.

This is fairly interesting and engaging, when it has every right to be fucking boring. This guy is up there with Gibbon so far
