Amir and Baba are escaping their homecountry. They are transported to a house by military truck. On the way, Baba stands up for a women whom he does not know when a soldier wants to take advantage of her. I respect Baba's decision in sticking up for her, he almost died but finally the soldier left.

Amir has now moved to the US. Baba, his father, has grown stomach ulcers. So far this book is very interesting and gives a good idea of life in the Middle East during 70s.
