Bilbo, the drawfs and gandolf have been chased into trees after escaping from the mountain that had goblins in it by wolfs. which have been caught on fire but were saved by eagles

the company has almost gotten to the misty mountain but have been stopped by the orcs and their wolf guards have chased them onto a mountain edge and into trees, and are very slowly picking off the trees till one is left and them the company fall off the cliff. but are saved by an army of eagles that kill the orcs and saved the company.

so far in the book Gandalf, and Thorin's company has already gone to bilbo baggins' house eaten all his food and talked about what their mission is to go to the misty mountain and defeat the dragon called smaug. Bilbo has also decided that he finally wanted to go on an adventure and runs off early in the morning to find thorin's group and tell them he wants in.
