Five prisoners from Richmond, Harding, Spilett, Neb, Pencroft, and Herbert, have crash landed in an air balloon on an unidentified islet due to a terrible hurricane. Harding, a captain, has been washed away by a wave, along with his dog. Neb, my personal favorite character jumps in to save him. Later, those two, along with the other three who have swam across the channel, have ended up on a new beach.
