This is my first real attempt at the 17th century philosopher I first heard referenced in a quote from Einstein ("The God I believe in is Spinoza's God..."). So far, Edwin Curly is an excellent guide, and Spinoza's own words (or the words of his interpreters) ring true in the struggle with the same topics central to our own lives; how do we know what is good, and once known how do we meaningfully strive towards it?
