While some of the plot is entertaining, the idiotic characters make it so hard to care about what's going on. Christian stops a psychopath from shooting Ana, and her reaction is "ermahgerd, does he luz her? So insecure, woe is me, I could have been shot but instead I'm jealous. Like, totally, as if!" I wish the psycho had shot Ana because she's too annoying to live

Finally! Kate, my favorite character from Book 1, has finally reappeared. She's such a stronger woman than wimpy whiny Anastasia that I really wish the book had focused on her and Elliot. Don't get me wrong, Ana and Christian have enjoyable moments, but they can be ridiculously exasperating!

The two main characters are so damn annoying. Christian keeps telling Ana to email him from her Blackberry and not her work email addy, but he does it by emailing her work address. Then when a devious character gets hold of said emails, he gets pissed at her when he very easily could have refused to ever email her at this address. Can James please kill Ana and Christian so the book can be about Elliot and Kate?

Not sure why I bothered buying this. While I kind of enjoyed Fifty Shades of Grey, I frequently found it INCREDIBLY annoying as well. Anastasia is such a flake that I just can't stand her, and Christian acts like a petulant child. I wish the book would just focus on Kate since she seems like a smart woman, but sadly she's yet to even appear at the point I'm at in Fifty Shades Darker.
