Ehrman sometimes makes comments that seem to disagree with things he's said earlier in the book, but I'm waiting to see if he later explains how these two things only *seem* to contradict each other. (How do "know" which is the "best" version of the text? At one time he seems to say we can't, at another time he seems to be saying there *is* a "best" version, and there fore the one we should be basing everything on.)
