well so far in this book they have been talking about their past history and how they have uncolored folks.But the girls great grandma(ma charles)tells the girls that there grandma(big ma)was cursed and thats why ma charles sister lost all her family in a car wreck because ma charles sister put the curse on them.Also heres the crazy part the girls got to see the KKK for the first time and thats also their family too

so far in the book the three girls go and see their family that is in Alabama and they start to learn a lot about their back history and they soon learn that their great grandma and great aunt to dont like each other because of something that happened a long time ago.
