I've experienced a little setback now that I've changed to the P&V translation: the text is occasionally a bit longer, with added footnotes for further detail. I suppose the latter is nice, though it has increased the ETA for finishing the book by quite a lot. 😯

I think I'm a lot closer to the end, with part four remaining in the last volume, sans epilogue. Unfortunately, the footnotes are all at the end of the book... :(

A combination of reading on the flight, but also wrapping up volume three in the UK, and getting twenty five percent into part one of volume four: maybe I'm closer to 75% than it seems?
I always feel like the electronic footnotes at the end of the books throw me off my progress.

A little jump in progress: this marks halfway there! Unfortunately, depending on the point of view, far too much of the book hooks you on and strongly motivates you to read more than a chapter a day.
