I wasn't sure I would make it through the first 20 pages. The descriptions and the narrator's inner dialogue reek of outdated and overused phrases. A little further in and obvious plot and foreshadows have me agreeing to grab the T bar up the slope. Accepting the limitations, the story becomes a decent read. Why are Christian and Anastasia both wearing Converse brand shoes in the first heated scene?
