As an activist for human rights. I was very disappointed with this book. Angie Thomas seemed to put her own touch of racism into her story. I know, her views makes the story more realistic, but had a white person wrote this story, black people would be crying racist. Had the story focused solely on the cop and the activist movement, there wouldn't have been a problem, and I would've supported the story more.
