It's a shame vampires had to creep their nasty way into the story...I reall am fed up of bloody vampires (no pun intended). However, Howard's writing and wit continues to impress, as does the sheer variety of bizarre factors the story keeps on bringing in.

The first chapter had me in fits of laughter (not so good when it's twelve o'clock at night and other people are trying to sleep!) so I just had to buy the entire book. Second chapter wasn't quite as good, but I enjoy the story's approach to Necromancy and its wicked ironic sense of humour. Roll on chapter 3!
