Ok, Elend coming to terms with his failures resonated with me.

Good, new characters are cool. Really like the focus on Sazed and Zane.

Interesting use of the mechanics. The abilitease was effective and allowed space to up the ante and add more power to the magic system. He’d be a decent game designer. Love the increased focus on the Terris. Elend is fine.
