This is still slow going due partially because I am reading it in paperback and therefore only at home and mainly because I'm having a devil of a time keeping the political schemes and Mughal names straight.
Again, as mentioned in my last update, this is not the fault of the writing--it is simply something my brain is not processing well as I have no knowledge of Indian history...

It's getting better. The USE delegation has finally reached Agra and the Sultan's residence, so the trading can begin. Or can it? The first meeting was interrupted, and the uptime women are currently staying in the harem.
Now I'm on more comfortable ground. The uptimers versus the downtimers interplay is why I love this series.

This is my least favorite ROF title so far because my lack of knowledge of Indian culture and history is making my reading a bit of a slog. Gratefully, I own this one in paperback, so I can easily go back to check on names. titles. etc.
I still like the book, and I have no problem with the authors, plot, or even the storyline. I just cannot read this particular entry in the series without great concentration.
