As a person who is lgbtqia & suicide-attempt survivor this is mildly triggering not gonna lie. I relate to Jack so much.

I just have the feeling that this characters are trying so hard to say "I am okay with people being gay" that it obviosly seems like they are not fine at all.

This is a throwback to a friend telling me he was super "open-minded", but after I said gay he immediately told me that he was "okay with them being them" as long as they didn't kiss or held hands in public. LIKE SHIT YOU ARE NOT OKAY WITH IT. homophobic. bye.

My mind is 7-kinds of fucked up right now.
I think I may love this book because I am relating but I also find a lot of things problematic.

HELP. This happens to me because I always try to understand both parties.

"I want to tell him that he's wrong. That people would eventually accept him whatever he decided to wear or put on his face. That no one would care if he fell in love with a guy or a girl. But I'd be lying if I did."

You don't even understand how much this applies to my life. One thing is being queer out in a majorly accepting society, big city than a small city in a pretty much close-minded country.

The humor and sarcasm of this book is right at my alley.
