I'm literally going to cry

....oh wow. This book is taking a turn that I did not see coming. Where is that happy family from the beginning? This is heartbreaking

I love how this is all about the importance of family and sticking together....& Alaska in 1974 sounds positively terrifying but also so breathtaking

I'm not far into this, but wow, Kristin Hannah can write so well!
