Amir is living in Kabul, Afghanistan with is father Baba and two servants Ali, and his son Hassan. Something traumatic happens to Hassan and Amir sees it but does not say anything to anybody. Hassan has a son in Kabul and then dies also his wife too. The boy is taken by the Taliban and Amir goes to rescue the boy.
