This novel goes through so many shades, so many characters.
It sings but it needs something approximating a Dell Map-Back for the recurring supporting cast alone.
But it's hard to find a place to pause for the night.
It's that intense a read.

Just can't put this one.
Richly cast -plenty of characters for the lead to interact with and it's a sprawling narrative spanning decades.
My wife was emailing an old girlfriend in Baltimore so I grabbed the opportunity to coast thru another 10 pages.
Hate to put it away for the night.

Stunning! First 5 pages I was thinking: Jessie Lee, you wicked wench! This sucks!! Phony ass hipster jive.
Then around about page 20 it kicked into a whole other kind of ride.
This one is bound to be a 5 star read.
