In the last part of the story Dan finally discovers what his dad has been hiding from him and that is blackmailing his girlfriends dad to give him a house for their family to live in and they finally were in peace and Dan found a job and know is going to be in baseball with his other friends and Aubrey got better after the last incident that had happened and Megan and Dan got closer and talked more.

Dan went to the hospital to visit Meg's brother Aubrey who is in the hospital because he got beat up and no one know who did it so he is in a coma. Dan and Nathan go practice baseball for the game they have and they were having a talk about Nathan helping him out of the situation he is in about being homeless and he went back to Dignityville where he walked with Meg back to her tent and surprisingly he kissed her.

Dan is suffering in Dignityville and he hates being homeless and his father is keeping a secret from him and his mom. Megan's brother got jumped and is in a coma and hasn't woken up and dan is deciding if he should go to college or not
