I am generally not a fan of short stories or novellas because I don't feel that I get enough character and plot development. And I've found that freebies are usually free for a reason. But at 35%, I'm finding this one to have surprisingly pleasant writing. Although, for some reason I thought it was a historical until she mentioned television and her Blackberry. I'm not sure what to make of the actual story yet.
