Astonishing in its modern bitchiness about the busy man lolling around on his purple couch surrounded by the clatter of dishes and shivering servants. I love Chapter 3 of the First Book: "Whence now come those strange and absurd fashions of costume [...]? A garment which one day reaches to the ground and the next exposes more than is decent."
