This is the first classic novel i've picked up and i'm surprisingly pleased with how well i'm getting on with it! The imagery and the beauty of the words used is just incredible and it continues to suck me in further. Jane is such a fierce character and she is brilliant, I can't wait to read on further and (to catch up with Phoebe because she can't help herself and keeps reading on) But onwards and upwards!

Still loving the book but i'm waiting for something to happen with a certain character. I don't like his coldness and I can't wait to (hopefully) see his character blossom into something that reflects a more charming exterior.

It was so sad to read about the death of Helen, it was the way Jane clung to her while they slept and was torn from her empty shell in the morning. Some truly sad stuff right there, I don't think i've ever read a book where death was introduced so early on.

I cried while reading this beautiful passage from Helen to Jane.
"We are, and must be, one and all, burdened with faults in this world: but the time will soon come when, I trust, we shall put them off in putting off our corruptible bodies; when debasement and sin will fall from us with this cumbrous flame of flesh, and only the spark of the spirit will remain." I finish for the night on chapter 7
