you got that fact wrong Isabel Allende, priests don't wear purple after holy Saturday....Resurection Sunday or Easter Sunday liturgical color is white.

That's it, I'm just going to finish this book because I hate DNFs. First eye roll was when Allende wrote about how the Guatemalan girl didn't look Mayan. Please, as if there are no white, Asian, black or Caucasian looking people in that country. Not everyone in Guatemala is from Mayan descent. (1)

Having a hard time getting into this book. I'm thinking it might be the translation to English...who knows...so far I'm more involved in Richard's story than the female character....i don't remember her name ha!
