I read this book a couple of years ago. I do not recall loving it. I enjoy short stories and I thought I would enjoy it as much as The Kite Runner. It is o.k. on the second reading. I read some reviews this time and there are a couple that indicated it is not a true representation of life in Pakistan. I found that view fascinating.
