Matt my progress through this thing has been incredibly slow, but i think it's because it doesn't even feel like you can process any more information after finishing one of the stories. i'm on like year 4.

David Dines His writing is pretty tough to get through. His earlier stories at least have the benefit of being unabashedly dorky; as he got older he seems to have kept the same fascination with dissecting writing and history but buries those ideas deeply into superficially simple stories.

I've tried, too, to read this whole "book" a few times. Most attempts started with just randomly picking stories and assuming I'll make it through eventually. Somehow I've read the stories at the front and back of the book a bunch of times but never really cracked the middle of it. I'm finally getting to these and find that they're really, really awesome (just finished "The Dead Man").
