So, in addition to sports, now sci-fi is also "typically male". Hm. I like Amanda in general, but sometimes she comes up with these kinds of things and it bothers me a bit- okay, maybe a lot. I don't even know what point she's trying to make anymore. The discourse is weird sometimes. Awkward.

While I get that it probably comes as a result of unpleasant memories due to past experience, I can't say I'm a fan of how Amanda thinks that sports are for boys and that's like a main argument every time it comes up that she doesn't like them. It's come up countless times so far. I think the point got across just fine by now.

Don't get me wrong, so far I'm really enjoying it. But plot? Where's the plot? How much longer til this book truly takes off? I'm happy things are cool so far, but I'd appreciate it if it were to move forward at some point.
