This book is frightening with its authenticity

The people in this town:

This book gives a voice to bitter narrow-minded people. Are there really people in the world that are just so filled with hate and spite that they seek out ruining other people's lives?

Real talk: people in these mountains still hate outsiders. The first thing I am asked around here is if I grew up in the county and people will basically turn their nose up at me when I admit that I didn't.

Also, "baines" is a Scots version of "bones" so Bones Creek

This book is breaking my heart already.
