I actually feel bad for Ren... I sympathize with Clarissa/Melba... I do... but she's so wrong, so misguided about what she is planning and poor big hearted friendly Ren gets killed for it... I suspect Clarissa will realize her wrongs and there'll be an emotional moment about this later on when she realizes what Holden did WAS right... but hey, feel free to surprise me, book.
