God, I need this satire on optimism right now! F*** optimism. F*** the fairytale version of our lives we peddle to each other through religions and what not, hoping everyone will ignore the sadistic nature of our existence, the complete lack of decency in our intentions and actions that are disguised as magnanimous acts of inclusion, kindness and humanity.

I'm barely 20 pages in and this book is set to be one of my all time favorites across all books.
Optimism is fine. Religions and Gods, those are fine too. But damn me if the world hasn't poked their eyes out and made themselves blind to the horrors of reality of the world that his grace has so gracefully and mercifully created for humans. Give me a fucking break.
This is the best possible world - Fuck that.
