I know. I've always been confused about her mentioning Rachel Vincent. As far as I know, nobody has ever said anything bad about her or "trashed" her books. Yet Vanity included her on her blog as one of the "bullied" authors and now she's listed under all the other authors they recommend on this new "site." Anyone know the back story to that one? I've never seen any drama concerning Vincent anywhere.

Yet, she's the ONLY one working at Home Depot. While us other three unemployed layabouts sit around drinking, stalking, bullying, and writing reviews. I think we'd make it through two episodes before Lucy's jealousy destroys our friendship.

The thing is ... of course she wants us to be angry about it. She wants us to cower or make blog posts or tweet furiously. Because otherwise nobody knows she exists.

I can't help but laugh at it. I really can't. I don't see the point in "outing" any of my info. People who think I'm a jerk will still think I'm a jerk. People who like me will still like me. What exactly does knowing any of what she posted about me affect me in any way? Oh no, my internet points!

I haven't lost any friends because of this and I've gained quite a few friends and followers today. And I bet the other three girls have too.

I love all of you. And that is the PERFECT attitude to have, THT. She's a terrible person and she wants to scare us away from reviewing. I know she hasn't called me out (YET) but she will never do that to me. The only person that has that much power over me is ME. I could care less what that mentally unhinged person thinks of me or my friends. She is a nobody.

As much as I think they're unprofessional and despicable, author temper tantrums and these types of posts have made my GoodReads following quadruple since January, not to mention there's a lot of activity on Twitter and my blog even though I've posted very little over the past few months. And it's not just gaining new friends and meeting fellow bloggers, it's also having established/big six authors specifically contacting me to lend support or pitching me their books.

So if the point of these rants was to shame reviewers by revealing "embarassing" information, any sane person would have seen that their attempts severely backfired. But obviously, we're not dealing with reasonable people.

I have to agree with you, Wendy. Every time something blows up, I end up meeting new people. I had two new people friend me yesterday. It is a sad way to make new friends, but I like to see the silver lining in all situations.

That blog is seriously messed up. I couldn't stomach reading all of the posts, but I did read the latest one and I have to say that attacking someone's parenting skills is so far beyond below the belt. It's sickening.

Melisssa Douthit author of some book whose name I can't prounance Rasshahakak something that features a Mary Sue MC and run on sentences. Seriously, I can't pronounce the title. Anyway, long story short she attacked several reviews in earlier in the year and posted private information about Wendy on her blog.
