There is a curious use of language which irritates, certain phrases seem out of step with the general tone of language used ...p 44 ..aside from an agitated spirit I assure her I am fine
Page 80 ‘I feel like a bride’ she says a little sheepishly. And you shall look like one before I am through’ I respond. This feels too modern a phrase for me and also one that gives away the authors American background.
