He completely shifts the defense and finds an opening 3..2..1 he fires up a floater hits the rim 3 times and rolls in. Danny celebrates with the team and looks to his dad as if he is god.

One of the words that I learned in this book was access. I know the meaning of it but this book used it to a greater context. This book was saying not only that you have authority to whatever but you have earned permission. You have worked for it, it has not been given.

Danny is down by 3 points at halftime and his team is struggling. His dad takes out a step with him and says this is the difference between the players and the champions it is what you do in the second half that will tell who you are.

Danny is in the state championship against his rival team that cut him. He is feeling confident because this has been his best basketball year ever. Going into the game he had one objective.... win.

The book is getting very complicated when Danny didn’t make the team his dad ends up making a team that he can join and that other kids that got rejected could make the team. I have a prediction that his team will end up playing the team that he did not make.

Their was some interesting vocabulary that I have learned in this book one of the words was accelerate. I have heard of tone word before but when I looked it up it gave a better meaning to my head. It not only means to speed up but to also get were you are going faster this could not only be physical but also mentally.

Danny was telling us about how his coaches and parents were always holding him back and how when ever he did something great and better than all of the kids, it was still not enough.

The coaches were telling that the only reason that they cut Danny was because of his own safety. They said that if they let him play that he would get made fun of his height and would put Danny down. Danny exclaimed to his mom that he has been through this whole life and nothing ever put him down about it.

The book so far has had a lot of emotion between Danny and his mom. All of the coaches know that Danny is good enough to be on the team but they will not let him play because of his height.
