The author makes the characters believable by making them act like kids do in real life. For example they go out and hang out with each other and do kid stuff.

The protagonist is very loyal to his best friends, trying to get his friend out of trouble. He is respectful to his teacher and principle but he doesn't like that they don't believe him or his friends.
