Chapter 17 -

David, Aly, and Evan barely escape a 'hit.' After thinking things through, the make a deal with 2 politicians on their list to bring down with compromising information. If they don't meet in 2 days, the files are downloaded over the internet. If they do meet, they run the risk of being exposed and killed.... Tough choices to make.

"The heat keeps rising page after page."

David and Aly are on the run! When they learn their homes have been invaded and the flash drives with information about congressman & women on the 'take' has been stolen, they must run for their lives as men in black go after them. With nowhere else to turn, they go to David's brother, Evan, for help. He's possibly their last chance who can break the story to the press.

"Things keep getting better page by page!"

Higgins returns home to find his flash drives missing. They have all the information of his work to bring down a large health firm he accuses of killing his wife. When he calls Brit, the woman who approached him with a plan to work together and expose them, the line goes dead. His accomplices also find their discs missing....

"Filled with twists and terrifying suspense!"

"Come to my office now!" the voice screams over the phone.
It's Stan, my old boss.
I notice no secretary to greet me at his office, so I open the door and walk in. The door closes behind me and Stan locks the door.
"Sit!" he demands.
In his hand I see a gun, and it's pointed at my head.

David Higgins, a lawyer with a plan to bring down corrupt govn't officials and healthcare system, meets with a potential vice presidential candidate and possibly obtains enough info to bring him and American True Care crumbling down....But when he meets the man and his beautiful, young intern in his luxurious hotel room, he finds he may have to do something most distasteful to keep him on the hook.

David Higgins, a lawyer intent on bringing down the corrupt healthcare system & powerful politicians who support it, gets a break when a congressman he woos agrees to pass a bill that could help him expose those he's after. But he gets a threat that would make anyone think twice before continuing.

David Higgins must get a powerful congressman to incriminate himself on tape... but his co-conspirators throw in an ace-in-the-hole that could blow the operation wide open.

David Higgins gets a break and impresses a hard-driving boss at his firm. He needs this job as lobbyist to bring down the industry he believes cost him his wife's life. Things are moving fast for him...Maybe too fast. But he is determined to get revenge... Something tells me he should first dig two graves.
