Thus far, I'm really enjoying it. The funniest moment had to be the scene where Josh and Biff are pretending to be Moses and Pharoah. "Let my people go!" "Okay." "You can't do that!" "Why?" "Because God wouldn't let you." LOL I wasn't expecting to enjoy this because I was mistaking Christopher Moore for Terry Pratchet, an author I once tried to read and couldn't get into.

Joshua has just collected his 13 disciples. I like the way Moore introduces each of the disciples (some are normal guys, Nathaniel is an idiot, and Thomas is a little crazy). I find myself wishing Moore had also written about David becoming King as well.

While I'm enjoying it, I don't feel I'm enjoying it the way Moore intended. Except for one conversation on page 12, I haven't found anything to be laugh out loud funny. I'm enjoying it as a fantasy novel, but not as a humorous one. I enjoyed the scene with the Yeti and wonder if it will reappear again.

I haven't really laughed much, but I am enjoying Moore's story of a young Jesus. His interpretation of characters is interesting.
